Things you wish you could have seen

Post » Thu Oct 21, 2010 12:00 am

I would have liked to see the entire Tenpenny Tower, not just the first floor lobby and penthouse suites. It's funny that for such a large building, the interior is actually smaller then most settlements.

In case you missed it, or just weren't satisfied with it, the first floor of hotel rooms is also accessible by staircase in the back of the lobby behind the elevator, and holds the fairly large homes of 6 residents.

I've seen the first floor, and I just wasn't satisfied with it. :P

I guess it's just a game mechanic, but I wish the creators would have worked to try and make the hotel feel a little bigger.

Indeed, I'd love to see a stairwell/elevator that takes you to 3-5 more floors. One your very own floor ;D

I would like to see the beginings of new plant life spread accros the wasteland from Oasis. I would like to see the slavers in the process of catching new poor souls (usually I only see them chasing some every now and then). Same with super mutants, I would like to see them transporting their victims accros the wastes to the vault where they do their thing (scope for rescue missions within a set time to free them etc).

I wish Point Lookout had a main story rather than what felt like several side quests in a different looking land. Some way to utilise the mothership zeta death ray would be another wish.

The guy making the motorcycle jump in the White House utility tunnel.

That still cracks me up everytime I think about it. I bet that, and a few creative teddybear/gnome placements on certain levels, had Bethesda devs/QA rolling on the floor. :lmao:

A more satisfying ending than just a narrated slideshow. Maybe I'll write a script for one...

Also, I think a few more DLC's would have been cool, ones that might really allow you to redefine the wasteland. Examples:

The Abolitionist: Initiated by wiping out Paradise Falls, then entering Cutter's Clinic. In the Vanilla game, she shoots at you and you have to slaughter her. In the DLC, she could ask you for mercy, and reveal information about other slavers and their hideouts and activities. You go to these areas and crush slavery in the wastes once and for all.

Brother Against Brother: Initiated by finishing BS by siding with the Brotherhood and also being a friend of the Outcasts. The Brotherhood faces a new threat, greater than any before it, of former Brotherhood members who have turned traitor and intend to pick up where the Enclave left off. You must convince the Outcasts to assist them, possibly in exchange for access to the technology that will be uncovered. Afterward, you lead a hand-selected team on an important mission.

You could also have DLC where you serve the Enclave, or work for Mr. Burke, or assist the Rangers in a geomapping mission that goes wrong, or... the possibilities are nearly endless.
