Ok, i am currently working on making a library, now i have an NPC who is at the entrance area, but i would like to know how i would go about renting out books for a certain number of days from this NPC. So for example, i want to rent a book for 3 days, i do this, at the cost of 5 gold a day, but after the 3 days are up i have to give the book back or the book is labelled as being stolen.

Can i do this? And if so, how?

I did something like this for my try before you buy mod. You could probably adapt the scripts from that easily enough.
