1st person view - improvements

Post » Sat Oct 23, 2010 12:07 am

Hi my first post on this forum...

What i would really like to see is a sort of mirrors edge ish view... Meaning you can see your feet when running.
Maybe even the upper body, arms and feet when you look slightly down. It would make everything feel more real...

When you stand upright and look down you should se more than air. Mirrors edge took 1st person view to the next level !

Too bad Mirror's Edge flopped. For immersive purposes, it would be nice, and hopefully possible with the new engine. Can't really say this is at the top of my list though, as there are many other features that are key to this game's success.

I've only played the demo of mirrors edge but the first person view is awesome. in Halo 3 it was cool to look down and see your legs but Mirrors Edge just took it to the next level, not only should they include FPV like it in Skyrim but it should be the new standard for any first person game.

Visible legs would be nice, but it's not very important. What Bethesda should add to the first person view is head bobbing.

This is one of my most wanted features too. I hate how the FPS and 1st person game community doesn't care about games where you're a floating camera with arms. One of my pet peeves. People need to ask for it.

Seeing your entire body, armor and all, when you look down would be awesome.

Mirrors edge didn't exactly flop. It sold over a million copies at launch, and who knows how many since then. But the development costs were too high, so even with good numbers it was a failure as far as profit.

I would love for this to be in, but it is not high on my priority list of things that aren't in yet that I would like.

Mirror's Edge is hardly the first game to do that. Awareness is a semi-common thing recently. The only thing is I don't think most players or devs find the resource/immersion of it very effective. I'm also not sure how well it would work with all the armor variations TES games have. I'd rather Bethesda spend time and system resources on something else.

There may be at least one first person view enhancement, but that is all I can say. :whistling: We'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah it'd be a nice feature but I can think of far more important things...

I can understand that there is plenty of things you want improved over Oblivion that has a higher priority, but:
As far as i can tell it seems like most of your dreams are coming true when you look at the latest leaks...
Making the FPV awsome like in ME seem like a easy task for beth to implement in the game...
