Hello there,

for some reason putting allowyestoall=1 in my morrowind ini doesnt seem to work.

I am using windows 7, though I dont see how that changes anything. Its just annoying that I have to click through the errors in the CS......

anyone know whats up?

W7, just like Vista, doesn't allow you to alter files without jumping through hoops. (your ini isn't been changed)
It's best to change the install location of Morrowind, to avoid these issues, or just turn your User Account Control (UAC) off.
Check the pinned threads for Vista/W7 fixes.

Open your Control Panel and search for UAC.
The computer will often remind you it's dangerous to turn it off, but unless you randomly download from untrusted sites you'll be fine.
You can always turn it back on when you're done playing MW, anyways.

Don't you use MGE? I have never had to put that in my INI since MGE takes care of that for me. You just need to tick it in the Morrowind INI tab...

nope havnt got round to installing MGE yet.

I have found the problem - using the suggestion by pluto to install elswhere.

Basically on XP I installed to: programmefiles/bethesda softworks/morrowind

On windows7 its installed: programmefiles(x86)/bethesda softworks/morrowind

theres also a directory for programme files so i just copied it all over to there. It would seem that the programmefiles (x86) directory for windows 7 doesnt allow morrowind to read the ini. and must be installed to programme files.

I think this is because alot of mordern games are using the (X86) directory and thats why the origonal is still on windows 7 ????

anyway, I got it working.
