Roleplay inquisitor of Sheogorath

Think I found one that could work out...

My character is a worshipper of Sheogorath. He is a Breton (called Sareth). When he was young he lived on the streets of bravil and lived from picking pockets. What he earned was just enough to live. But one day he heard of an odd gate that had opened right next to Bravil. People talked about that it would lead into another world and a new life. Somehow a "second chance". So Sareth got curious and decided to have a look on it. Thats how it began...

Sareth is supposed to enter the gates of madness and set up a new life there. I want him to get a job as some kind of "inquisitor" there. He is supposed to hunt the herectics, those in the Shivering Isles and also those in Cyrodiil. I mean those people in the churches and the Worshipper of other Daedra.

This would be his "job" on the isles. His other activities are walking across the beautiful landscape of Mania, cooking and brewing, reading and writing. He loves to write. Sometimes poems or songs, but mainly philosophic books that are in connection to Sheogorath.

I want to hear your opinion to this kind of roleplaying. Do you think it might work and do you have any ideas for improving it?

Im not sure for the character build however. What is fitting to that kind of character (Inquisitor and Daedra Worshipper)? Should it be more magic-oriented, or stealth, or even combat? What skills would you choose?

Thanks in advance.

Combat with some magic thrown in. Heavy armour, blade etc would be good choices.

And for a bit of RPing choose destruction but only use fire-based spells, so you can cleanse your foes of their sins with righteous fury.

sounds really cool, I would recommend not using any stealth with this character. It seems like he would be a kind of rampaging brutal "heretic-hunter" so I would definitely agree with heavy armor and destruction. Maybe blunt instead of blade because personally I feel like an inquisitor would prefer beating someone with a war-hammer to stabbing with a blade. Maybe have conjuration also, but try to only use the shivering isles conjuration spells, like summon hunger. Maybe athletics for chasing your targets around and illusion because I think sheogorath would be a pretty good illusionist, and as his inquisitor he would share his knowledge in it. Thats all I can think of right now but I just might have to try this character out myself :)

I would say stealth would be somewhat justifiable. An inquisitor needs to be able to find secrets. Since he worships Sheogorath, he could then go nuts and attack, ignoring the possibility of a sneak attack. Blunt and conjuration sounds good, as do destruction and heavy armour.

If I remember correctly, Sheogorath has some twisted sense of humour, and as such, using some Illusion spells would be fitting: Frenzy, Charm, Paralysis...? Also attacking and turning invisible...

Wear an iron helmet enchanted with Light. Also, don't forget to get the Wabbajack as soon as possible. Not for a weapon; it's useless, but it would be a nice symbol of your authority to carry it.

Yes, but it can also turn a Mud Crab into an Ogre.

Sure. You just can't count on the Wabbajack as a weapon. It's a toy.

Exactly, if I was roleplaying this, I'd have Wabbajack, but not use it, especially at lower levels, its far too dangerous.

I would, if I understand this, one would be roleplaying as a worshiper of Sheogorath, then shouldn't you trust him to send you a creature that you could fight and win against? unless you displeased him

i believe he'd just send u this exact sort of tricky stick. its the sort of 'greek gift' u should use immediately b4 an invisibility spell, just for caution.

imagine how much fun u'd have: "and so, servant of me, have this powerful turn-the-tide artie, to use in ur greatest hour of need and transform any foes of urs into a lesser being.". u'd be sitting in ur throne, watching that 5-htipoint fool thinking wolf-to-mudcrab and voila, an Ogre.

and the best is, technically Sheogorath'd not be lying: an Ogre is a lesser being, compared to him, anyways!
