Misplaced Dogmeat

Post » Mon Oct 25, 2010 7:03 pm

I appear to have misplaced Dogmeat.

Is there a sure way to either track down a lost companion or teleport them back to safety ?

I can see him on my Command Headset (with FWE) and I can issue orders, so I know he is not dead or vaporized.
But I have been waiting for him for days in the same spot (in front of Vault 101 to be safe) and still no trace.

At this point, all I can do is post fliers across the Wastelands and hope someone can return him (and not have him as a snack).

Interesting little mod .... however, people seem to complain that it adds the whistle when you first find dogmeat. I already found (and lost) him, so it doesn't look like this would work.

I will however head back to the junkyard in case he returned there. I read that companions tend to return to the place where you find them if something goes wrong with them.

He is probably at vault 101, that's where he goes when the follower wait time expires. If you can't find him there you can try the updated version of the Command Headset http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11334 It has a tracking feature that marks your selected vanilla follower with a quest arrow. I also made a version that you can add followers from other mods and it has a few additional features http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11444 With the latter you will have 2 Command Headsets so it's best to put the old one into a safe container somewhere before installing it.

BTW the second mod won't help you find dogmeat because you have to add companions to your companion list before you can track them and adding them requires you can see them. The first will though as its just an updated version of the Command Headset you already have.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I found him.... he was actually waiting for me back at the Junkyard instead of Vault 101.
