Leveled gear and monsters in Skyrim?

Post » Tue Oct 26, 2010 2:16 pm

I am still wondering if Bethesda is going to go with the leveled gear and enemy system it ran in Oblivion or go back to the "Enemies being their own level and have their own gear no matter what level you are" original TES system. I honestly want the monsters and AI to be leveled with you but the gear to be however much higher then the person wearing it because I always want Umbra in Oblivion but never get it, why you ask because I want the best out of my sword and I do not want to wait till level 100 to get the sword. Think about this and post what your ideas are and if my system of loot/AI level is a good system or not.

Leveled gear? No. Leveled foes? Yes, but it will be more akin to Fallout 3's leveling scaling, which was almost not noticeable and worked very well.

It will be closer to fallout 3, which is better than oblivion. We don't know exactly how it's gonna work, but I wouldn't worry too much.

What do you mean by this? That there isnt leveled gear but there are leveled foes?

I'm not a fan of the world leveling with you. It's so fake and not fun in the least.

At lv 25 in Oblivion we found random bandits wearing daedric armor at every corner. In skyrim at lv 50 we will find daedra lords roaming the roads directly. Brilliant.

well in some ways its ok and some ways its not, fallout3 kept the old enemys and added harder one's the higher lvl's u reached it was done very well.Im sure they did Skyrim in a way that we all will enjoy. But i dont mind some things lvling with u keeps the game engaging and im sick to death of the games out right now that make u a god Cough!... Honestly, I'd be happier if they just scrapped the system almost altogether and went back to the Morrowind one.

I liked the Morrowind system the enemies was varied and thats how I liked it I hated fighting the same creatures in Oblivion over and over and when I seen a lower level enemy it was a treat because I did not see one for like what a dozen hours or so maybe twenty four hours, I also hate the leveling system of Oblivion. :obliviongate:

I think a huge majority of us do, which is why they're not used that system anymore
