The 1,2, Tactics pack was pulled from store shelves after the Bethesda-Interplay legal dispute heated up, I think.

I looked for weeks in shops for Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics. Eventually I gave up and got them on Steam.

I saw a used one at my local used electronics store. I already had one though. I doubt you'll find any at gamestop though due to the Bethesda vs. Interplay battle.

Actually, I do believe Interplay took out an injunction that allows them to continue selling them for the short term.

I just bought the Interplay Trilogy pack from Amazon.

Btw, do I still need to install the patches (that are listed in the FAQ sticky for this folder) even though this pack was released last year?

They come with some very old versions of the unofficial patches. It should give you an option to use them in the installer, but I'd advise ignoring them and getting the latest versions instead. You certainly don't need any of the official patches though, with the possible exception of fallout tactics.

The Fallout fansite "No Mutants Allowed" hosts an incredible amount of great patches and mods, official and fan-made. I'd suggest going vanilla with the official patches and for Fallout 2 installing Kilaps patch (not the restoration project one though, save that for a different play-through).

Don't forget the high resolution patch! 10 year old graphix tend to get a bit buggy on the computers systems of today.
