Destructible environment?

Edit: The problem with said "marking" is that it would reward players who already know the maps, and can head right to the weak spots; while punishing the players who are newer, and have to search for them. Its better to just have them on the mission wheel so that you can be lead to them by the arrow if need be.

True. The mission wheel would be a better idea.

But will most likely be sought after anyway.

It'd probably award big points, so that would be true.

it's enough destruction

look at Bad Company 2, most of the game is destructible and it's an odd-looking mess of a game, ick

Optional objectives, eh? Soldiers can find routes and blow them up, while Engineers can find good areas to build makeshift ramps and walkways for easier access and shortcuts. Soldiers could then be alerted about makeshift systems and set out to detonate those.

Yeah, that sounds quite doable.

The only game I've ever played that got the destructible environments thing right was the first Red Faction

Destroyable environment would be cool but they shouldn't make it over destroyable

Destructible environments are fun, but they wouldn't work at all in Brink. Based on what I've read about S.M.A.R.T., having all the possible climbable/vaultable/slide underable/etc objects mapped out is crucial. If everyone could just blow huge holes in the architecture, all or nearly all of the tasty parkour-y-ness would be lost.
