Help needed with creating a looping sound

Heya,
For my mod, I'd like to have a looping sound in an interior, which only plays during the evening (let's say from 18.00 until 01.00) and has a source (like, you can only hear it when you're close enough and fades out when you move away from it).
Unfortunatly, I am completly clueless when it comes to scripting, and as far as I know an activator like this would require a script to run.
Anyone who could offer me some advice/a premade script/etc would be very much appreciated!

There are sound activators in the construction set which activate when you get close to then , 'living cities of Vvardenfell' mod has scheduling scripts then all you need is a script to adjust sound volume relative to the distance from the activator , i would imagine it would be relatively simple to combine them, probably do it yourself if you downloadl 'scripting for dummies' and also the 'script library' might have useful stuff , both from PES,also check through the scripts in the construction set.
That should give you a start.
