Where to install the GECK

Post » Thu Nov 04, 2010 12:11 am

Hi there everyone.

Right, basically I had trouble with the GECK the first time I tried using it, so gave up and uninstalled it....
Now I'm confused about where to install it to. I installed it to the Fallout Directory, but everytime I open it...well, it just starts the game :S
So, where should I install it?

Final Edit:
Ok, to solve it I installed the install file to the data directory, then the actual GECK to the fallout directory :P

1. I had that problem. I think I solved it by moving the install executable to the fallout data directory. It would then install properly. I can't remember for sure.

2. Yes. I have no idea what you mean by 'change all the slavers outfits'. To what?

Basically I want to replace all of their Merc outfits with Chinese Jumpsuits. I THINK I can do this from the GECK but I'm not sure

Thanks for the help on the first one :)

2. As I said, 'Yes' you can. Its probably a 'leveled list' on the NPC. You just remove that and give the Slaver NPC's what you want them to have. This will be incompatible with 'any' mod that also does anything with the slavers.
