Accuracy, Power, or Speed

Post » Thu Nov 04, 2010 2:02 pm

Which one would you prefer?

I would prefer Accuracy because with Speed you could be very fast at shooting, but probably would get barely any hits. With Power it would take a few shots to kill someone, but you might miss a few shots and maybe someone will get the drop on you when you miss.

I usually go for Power and accuracy when choosing weapons, or just power. Speed usually means nothing to me, unless it's accompanied by a lot of bullets (like a mingun.)

As long as you're a decent shot, power is priority, imho.

Eh speed or accuracy is what I'm stuck between, with a SMG you have speed and usually fast reload, so you can drop an enemy faster, but with accuracy such as an AR you don't kill as fast up close, but you have the edge in medium-long range. I'm going with speed.

Pretty much:

Speed - SMG
Accuracy - AR
Power - Sniper/Rocket

I went accuracy.

Nothing more infuriating than either spraying or using irons and having bullets not hit.

Definitely accuracy. If you can't hit them you can't kill them.

You might need to rethink the sniper, while it is a high power, caliber rife, a sniper is the definition of accurecy, also there are no snipers in brink but there are short/light rifles which would go with Accuracy.

I find increasing the power of the SMG you are using to help out much more than an increase in speed. SMGs already have a close range dominance, and increasing the speed just makes them empty the magazine faster. Increased damage on the other hand increase the damage output while effectively increasing the size of your magazine.

personally i love all three. my perfect weopans: a rocket launcher, that fires bullet/rocket hybrids, like a shotgun, with the accuracy of a sniper, the speed of a SMG, teh power of all them combined. i would have to say power as my favorite though.

I must say I'm all for the looks.

Generally, I like close combat. But shotguns are high power, SMGs are high speed and handguns are highly accurate.

When I play a game with guns, I don't want a gun that swings all over the screen like a horse dike, so accuracy all the way, with great precision comes great damage :disguise:

I go for accuracy 90% of the time.
From most important to least to me:
1. accuracy/recoil
2. Reload Time
3. ROF
4. Power
5. Clip Size
6. Equip Speed

Depends on the gun I'm using and the current team role I'm filling, there is no gun that fills all roles.

I say speed (rate of fire) over accuracy because I can go with a high fire rate, medium accuracy weapon and I can usually compensate for the hit to accuracy. With a high accuracy, medium fire rate weapon there isn't a way to compensate for the fire rate and shoot quicker, so I choose speed because of the versatility (in my eyes) it offers. However, the gap between the two is slight as far as priority rankings go.

As for power... I've never been one for really powerful weapons so it gets a distant third. As for why, I suppose it's just a preference issue.

EDIT: Also, it could be said that a high fire rate also offers a psychological advantage - I know if I'm shot by multiple rounds in a game instead of just one, I become more anxious of the situation and may choose to retreat in a situation I might normally return fire in, even if both sources caused to same damage. The reason for this is because one round generally means only one person is shooting at you, but multiple rounds could indicate either one person, or many.

Just my opinion of course.

If I missed my target, I simply didn't fire enough bullets.
Picked speed.
