Topic started to feel a little tense for a while guys lol. :ooo:

But thanks to everyone for all the info, I really didn't know too much about the grenades at all.

I like the idea of nades not being a one hit kill. Maybe that will make them be used more tactically and lead to less nade spamming that you see for lucky kills in lots of other shooters.

I'm actually curious about this as well. Anyone know what kind, if any, indicators there will be for grenades near you?

I think grenades have tracers wen they are thrown. I don't know about after they land.

Saw a grenade indicator in the E3 gameplay vid, slightly before the hack objective.

I think it's weird that there is unlimited grenades with a cooloff. Is that the same for the nade launcher?

No. The nade launcher has a rate of fire, ammo amount and a reload speed stat. This will determine how many nades and how fast the GL can fire them.

It is likely that hand grenades are stronger than GL nades.

Ok, cool, thats a better idea. The manual launcher looks like it carries a hefty amount, though.

another good quote from the lead designer

Different grenade types are on different cooldown timers. A Soldier using a Molotov and a Frag grenade back to back is pretty darn powerful, it just takes two Supply pips to do so.

In this circumstance, it's better releasing the game having a skill perhaps not being powerful enough rather than having it be too powerful, so even if they're wrong, it's still the "safer" solution.

Skills for the most part can only be considered overpowered in relation to other skills. If the developers release the game with sub-par skills, it is not a "safer" solution. The sub-par skills boost the relative power of the par skills and you see a lack of customization and increase in cookie-cutter classes. Since it takes precious developing time to develop, generate, and test these skills, developers should only focus on things they can tightly balance, or otherwise leave it out.

You can always just throw 40mm-grenades with your hands. :teehee:

As an added bonus, if yo don't need to throw it, you don't even have to run to the liquor store to get drunk after the fight! :D

But I use cheap liqour to make mollys.......if you want a good drink you need something better than a 5$ whiskey........something good like Russian Vodka....mixed with orange juice.
