Ground Z-ero

Tribeca Sewer

Reman drifted in and out of consciousness, the last thing he remembered was the stairs he was just getting ready to climb up collapsing. They collapsed on top of him, forcing him into a manhole, which couldn't withstand the sudden crash on top of it. He struggled to get some of the debris off of him, and he staggered to his feet with the help of the brick walls as something to grip onto.

The sewer was dimly lit by some old Fusion Battery powered light bulbs, surviving from the Pre War era. It was then he realized that he had been wounded, a section of a metal pipe was driven into his side from the fall.

"Damnit." He grumbled as he pulled it out, his own blood came with it, and with a clatter, it fell to the ground

He took a Stimpack out of his pack and administered it, he would live, but for a time he would be sore, stiff, and stumbling. He had to get out of here, to ground level, back with the others, he grabbed his Chinese Assault Rifle from under the debris and began searching for another Manhole, it couldn't be far, every street had one.

Just as he went around a corner, there he saw it, a Manhole and ladder leading to the surface. Just then a Zombie came right at him from the same direction. He didn't have time to aim, he let out a long burst of fire at center mass and splattered the Zombie all over the walls.

"Damn!" He yelled as he wasn't quite prepared for the even louder sound coming out of his gun in a indoor enivronment

He stepped forward, just as he was ready to climb the ladder he heard a groan, somehow, this Zombie was still alive, it wouldn't ever be able to move again, but it was alive. He raised his boot, and popped it's head like a pumpkin with a curb stomp.

Splat.

Tribeca

Atlas and Reman had been battling a horde of the infected trying to rescue a lone survivor trapped atop a warehouse roof. Unfortunately Reman had fallen into the sewers and Iain had toppled into a dumpster this leaving Atlas on his own which was fine by him. Expending the final pair rounds from his 10mm Atlas instinctively drew his desert eagle and began to deal with the remnants of the horde of infected.

Atlas made each shot from his powerful weapon count by aiming for legs, feet, or anything that would drop his foe so he could administer the kill shot. It took only seconds for Atlas to expend the small clip that his gun held and with no time to reload he was forced to use his assault rifle. But by this point only five infected still stood and they charged at Atlas. Taking careful aim Atlas fired controlled bursts from his weapon which decimated the pitiful group of infected before him. Once they had gone down Atlas took the time needed to reload his 10mm and shot at the heads of any infected still breathing.

Satisfied Atlas leaned against the corner of the warehouse to catch his breath and gather his thoughts.

(No problem Muffin :))

Tribeca, Outside Warehouse

"Much obliged sir! I'll meet you out front"
Iain nodded, nearly crying, his arm had been killing him. Luckily he had a medic kit and was a pretty skilled doctor.

In his life of being a Raider Iain performed many jobs; attracting wastelanders, cooking, sometimes melee practice with the Raiders and healing their wounds. One thing he always hated doing was keeping the Raider's torture victims alive so they could continue torturing...
A shiver always ran down his spine when he thought about the poor souls.

The old man seemed to have killed the remaining zombies that were on the roof, Atlas was handling himself pretty well, dispatching zombies with controlled round bursts with his assault rifle. Reman was lost however, probably went up the stairs to help the man, but Iain noticed that the stairs had been demolished. Suggesting that Reman was trapped...

"Unlucky mate..."

Iain opened his backpack up and hunted for his medic kit, doing everything one handed was a pain in the butt. After finding it he pulled out a cast and put it around his neck, then laid his left arm on the cloth. His arm was broken in two places, it looked nasty. Making sure there would be no serious damage he jabbed himself with two stimpacks, a cool liquid rushed through his arm tackling the fiery pain inside. Throwing the empty stimpacks aside Iain rushed to the wreckage and called out,

"Hello? Reman, you there mate?"

Whilst looking through the wreckage he noticed a manhole which had been forced open by the wreckage, probably leading into a sewer. He had a hunch that Reman would be okay, there were plenty of manholes in Manhattan which Reman could get out from. Knowing that Reman could could probably handle himself he checked the nearest manhole anyway, it was in a street just outside from the warehouse.
Iain's guess was spot on, the manhole was pushed open and Reman's head popped out, Iain quickly ran over to him and lifted him up to his feet with his good arm. Some blood was trickling down from Reman's side, it had been treated with a stimpack but it needed stitched and covered up with a bandage.

Quickly Iain got a bandage and some wire out from his kit and said to Reman, deciding to add some humour,

"Just bear with me, my left arm's in two places at once."

Tribeca

Reman came out of the sewer and eyed the wire and bandage, and looked down at his wound.

"Yeah, let's just get this over-with." He replied

He took down some of his Whiskey to numb the pain.
