Confused about grouping/clans : Othor Games

I tried searching and from what I've read, it seems that players will only be grouped with others of similar level. What if you have a group of friends or clan. Will there be a separate clan matching system that opens this up? What if one person in group is level 10 while someone else is level 25?

This applies only if you use the automatic matchmaking system. There's nothing preventing you from joining a friend's game, although in that case, if you are higher level than him/her, some of your character's abilities will be unavailable to balance things out.

Say a level 20 (max) player joins a friend's game (lvl 9). Since they are playing a "bracket 5-9" game, the level 20 player will not have access to any of his level 10+ abilities.

Yep. Which is going to be a problem for me and my friend since we are going to be co-leaders of a clan. So try to keep players of your own lvl or it might mess you up OP.

Q: What if I don't want to play against high level characters?
A: You don't have to. There are a couple of systems in place to prevent this "unfair" advantage.

- There are 4 blocks of levels:
R1: Lvls 1 - 5
R2: Lvls 6 - 10
R3: Lvls 11 - 15
R4: Lvls 16 - 20
- You will only play against people of your block (Standard)
- You can chose to play against higher levels if you want.
- You will unlock all main abilities and upgrades in your first levels.
- Higher level people who join low level lobbies can't use their high level abilities, unlocks.

You can play with people from other levels, but either you will have a disadvantage (playing against higher levels) or they will lose their advantages (Playing against lower levels)
