Domina?

Post » Mon Nov 08, 2010 8:03 pm

Can someone tell me what these "Domina" versions of armors are? Is it an effort to give female characters armor that looks like it belongs on a woman, as the game's normal armors make the women look like men? I thought the official plugin, lefemmarmor1.1, did that already (but obviously it doesn't, judging from all the flat-chested female NPCs I've seen). So what did lefemmarmor1.1 accomplish differently?

And can anyone tell where the faces and hair shown in http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5992 cam from?

That official plugin doesn't change many stock cuirasses at all, if any. Jeremy's Divine Domina makes most stock cuirasses have a female version with the domina mesh. It also adds matching pauldrons to many cuirasses that lacked them.
Darknut provides sharper textures for Jeremy's meshes, while this is an update for the meshes:

CanadianIce made some additional domina conversions (dominifications?), mosty notably for glass.

The Bloodmoon cuirasses have Beth-made female meshes which are better than the corset-style domina ones, IMHO.

The human faces look a lot like some of Emma's old heads.
Not sure about the Dunmer.

Agreed. There's also http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=330 which mostly uses the Bethesda meshes. And Plangkye is making some http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1105962-a-tiny-present-because-ive-figured-out-blender/ of the female cuirasses.

OK....What do I need to install so women in armor don't look like men?

I'm seeing that women in most every hardened armor are completely flat-chested. When they wear a helm, I can't tell the six at all. That's wonky.

If I install the 4 Domina things, and then install Darknut's textures for the same, will women look like women, even in armor?

You answer your own question: Install Divine Domina.
There are 5 parts, all on PES.
And yes, they add feminine armors to any female NPC wearing them.
And http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5674 fixes some clipping.

Install Darknut's textures last, and they will use his updated textures.

Yes, they will ;)
Just follow the instructions in the readme file and you will most likely never be questioning yourself, whether you're talking to a man or woman in cuirass.
Have fun

Edit: aah, Pluto was faster :D

If I've already installed Better Bodies, do I need to remove it for that update you mentioned last?

No. The mod is called Better Bodies compatbility for a reason. It requires that you have BB installed.
Maybe you're confused by the description of the mod, but it updates the Domina meshes to fit BB with less clipping... It doesn't update BB.
