Redesigning Vivec / MCA Problems

I'm going to use MCA 5.2 in a game. I also plan on using Redesigning Vivec, which changes the pyramid structures to open air structures Here's the link: http://www.google.com/url?sa=D&q=http://www.pirates.retreat.btinternet.co.uk/Vivec.htm&usg=AFQjCNHNIKXeANbCGcXoP8R5FCgvZDVY5A. There's an .esp there that changes the position of the MCA add-ons to accomodate for the new Vivec mod. I go to Date Files on the MW launcher and put a check next to the MCA.esm file. When I go to check the box next to 'Redesigned Vivec MCA Changes.esp', it won't let me do it, and in the description section, it says my MCA.esm is required to use this and can't be found. On Wrye Mash, the box next to the MCA.esm entry is red, which I assume means it's a missing file. I looked in my Data Files folder in the MW directory and it's clearly there. I'm wondering if it's obsolete with the new 5.2 version of MCA and was only made for 5.1. I'm not exactly sure where and how this moves the MCA NPC's. I noticed on the 'MCA + NoVivec patch' page from PES that it states "This mod changes the way Morrowind Comes Alive spawns several characters. It is widely known that characters such as the footpads included in MCA make the game hard, near impossible to play for new characters, and to add to this, such characters are unbalanced. This mod removes them. " Someone elao mentioned on the same page that it doesn't remove companions, only other NPC's. Any ideas?


Edit: I just tried MCA along with Redesigned Vivec and left out the Redesigned Vivec MCA Changes.esp. MCA works fine, and so does the Vivec mod. Not sure why the changes .esp is saying MCA isn't available. I think i'm just going to diable it.

IIRC, PitateLord's MCA addon was designed for MCA v4.1 and not 5.2. Some of the MCA spawn points will be in mid-air if you use Redesigned Vivec.

4.x is called "Morrowind Comes Alive.esm" and 5.x "MCA.esm", which is why you got the errors and Mash showing the MCA addon as missing a master file.

I made a http://www.4shared.com/file/xtB3Kqoi/Clean_Redesigned_Vivec_-_MCA_p.html awhile ago by request that uses MCA 5.x and PL's original mod. My patch is designed to take the place of PL's mod because of the cleaning process. Using both together will cause doubling. I never released it because I saw that PL made a patch, but I didn't know it was for 4.1. Is his COM patch for 2.0 or 1.0?

Jac, many thanks for MCA/RV patch.
About the COM, i assure you the PL version is for version 1. I had many warnings if i try load the version 2.0 with PL patch.

Could I ask you to make a new patch for RV and Starfires NPC additons? It′s ugly see many npcs drowing in the waters or falling to death on earth.

It may be a few days because PL's mod has dirty GMSTs in it that need to be cleaned out first; that was the reason I used his mod as a base for the patches - I cleaned it before I made them. Seeing as how the COM patch is for 1.0, I may just release the three I made as long as PL doesn't mind. :) For those interested, you can get the COM 2.0 patch http://www.4shared.com/file/fDxhQzIz/Clean_Redesigned_Vivec_-_com_m.html and one for both COM 2.0 and MCA 5.1 http://www.4shared.com/file/fDxhQzIz/Clean_Redesigned_Vivec_-_com_m.html. Note that you should not use any of these patches with the original RV mod or with each other: you will have doubling if you do.

If I understand the SF version is should load after your versions of VIVEC Redesigned(MCA + COM/MCA Only + COM only)? No doubling this time?

I dunno, Amenophis. There's a chance this could cause doubling. If it does, just load all of the patches you want, then select file->combine loaded plugins. As for PES, I'll see about adding this last patch to the others and then load the whole lot there.

I know I was using MCA 5.2 as well as CoM 2.0 in my last game. I'm about to start a new game and i'm getting some errors in mlox (see below). The 3 patches at Jac's link are not for MCA 5.2, yet mlox directs me there, saying I need the CoM/MCA combined patch. On the other hand, it seems Jac's new MCA/CoM patch is to replace the Redesigned Vivec .esp. When I do this and remove the RV .esp though, mlox tells me that the pre-requisites are missing:

All of the RD patches I made are located http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8446. You'll have to ask John why Mlox is reporting what it is, but my patches don't need anything but either MCA or CoM or both depending on the patch.
