Not sure whats happening. Screenshots I've seen show nighttime actually being dark, but in my game its barely dusk and shadowless.
Do you think its personal settings or something else? I'm at work so I can't double check but it would be strange for FNV to set my gamma so high that it would cause what I've been seeing.

Also skin tones are COMPLETELY different from what I see in the face generator and what I see out in the game.

It's not your settings, everyone's night is a little bright, I guess they didn't want complaints of "I CAN'T SEE FOR 10 MINS IN GAME!" - This can easily be rectified with a mod if you want dark though.

There aresome mods on the newvegusnexus for making darker nights, longer nights, brighter days, less dusty, less cinematic filters, etc. Go take your pick, .

This mod below makes night much darker and a few other things, take a look and see if it takes your fancy.

As for the skin tones, I can't see I've noticed a difference that badly.
