Vault 60

((The Escape is obviously not working and I do not think that it would really work out if because of the fact that it would include some RP members having to kill others. So, I am deciding to make an RP that very quite simple it will be based off of the Fallout 3 quest Trouble on the Homefront.))

Trouble in Vault 60

Timeline

2156

October 1st: Jacob a young Vault resident is hanging around the Vault door and hears people on the outside talking

October 2nd: after telling all his friends and family he tells the Overseer, the Overseer orders for Jacob to be executed after the information he has gathered, the Overseer is unaware that Jacob has told others

October 7th: the Vault citizens begin to wonder about the disappearance of Jacob

October 11th: the Overseer realizes that Jacob has told others and tells the Vault over the intercom that Jacob had gone insane and imagined hearing voices and is being held in a Vault cell

October 12th: a Vault Security Guard goes rouge and tells many Vault dwellers that the Overseer had Jacob killed and is covering up what he has heard outside

October 15th: Vault citizens begin to form a rebellion against the Overseer

October 19th: the Rebellion demands that the Overseer opens the Vault Door, the Overseer immediately disregards the idea and threatens to execute any Vault dweller that bring
the idea up again

October 21st: the group of Vault citizens who know are known as the Rebellion take Refugee in the Lower Level due to the minimal Vault Security

October 22nd: the armoury is raided by the Rebellion and Security raises in the middle life

November 12th: the Rebellion attacks Security injuring many of them and killing more than ten, but the Rebellion loses seven people in total

November 15th: the Vault is no longer a safe place, a battle is brewing

When Jacob Hughes told the Overseer of the voices he heard outside the Vault, everything changed, it started a war. It was unknown what Jacob had heard outside of the Vault. When the Overseer found off he ordered for Jacob's execution which ignited controversy within the Vault, and the Overseer trying to cover everything up. The Overseer did not know that Jacob had told people about what he had heard before he told him, and when people realized that Jacob was missing the people demanded answers. The Overseer simply told them Jacob was in lock up, but a Security Guard went rouge, he told the people what really happened and the Overseer found out and had him killed, and when that happened the whole Vault knew that the Overseer was making sure nobody left the Vault. The Overseer knew that the people would begin to rebel against him so he tried to tell the Vault citizens that he was not allowing them to leave the Vault for their own safety, but the Rebellion was not happy. The Rebellion, had taken refugee into the lower level because it had not become safe in the middle level anymore. A few weeks passed and the Rebellion was still at war with the Overseer, and now you decide who wins the battle.

Seems very linear, which is nice, because those are simple and can easily be maintained.

So basically your in a Vault, you choose either Security or the Rebellion, one will prevail.

The first problem is near the bottom of the timeline, November 12th, I refuse to believe that the Security lost more then the Rebellion. Also if we are forced between one of these two, won't that mean people will have to die?

At any rate it's very simple and therefore will probably have great success, but you can't really expand much on the idea.

The reason the Rebellion killed more then the Security Team is because they attacked them at night while the gaurds set up there for the night shift were tired and quite a few were asleep, but I can change it. And RP members will not have to be forced to kill others in this, in Escape you had to so there would be no choice.

Ok then. I don't have much more to say, I don't what I can say. You could make the sign up, see if people join.

One thing that might help would be just doing a first post beefing up the story. Some of them you might want to post about, some of them you might want to just keep in mind and develop over the story.

What was the purpose of this Vault?

Did the Overseer kill Jacob and is he so hostile to opening the door because he honestly believes it would be the death of his people....or does he just want to keep the people as HIS people?

Is the rebellion entirely the product of the disappearance and death of Jacob or were their some seeds of discord before the events concerning Jacob?

and of course

What were those people outside the Vault talking about?

You might even use the, apparently dead, Escape from Vault 9 thread that dealt with some of the same issues for ideas of what to do or what not to do.
