Raider Wars

Alright so I have had this idea for a while now and I have finally decided to write it up so here it is tell me what you think and if it is a good idea. Also this is not the OP of the RP this is just a description of what the RP will be about.

Raider Wars is an RP that is set in the Capital Wasteland, you can choose from three different Raider clans that are at War. Each clan will have their own morals, tactics, and weaponry. The RP will be about doing what Raiders normally do while fighting a war against two other clans. The reason for the war is the three Raider clans are all fighting over one town, each clan wants control of this town. While the Raider war is happening certain other factions will be trying to take Raiders down like the Regulators and groups like that, along with the citizens of the town that the Raiders are fighting over.

So leave any suggestions or thoughts you have, thank you.

Sounds like a good idea, but from my experiance, war RP's don't often go too well, how are you going to control who dies and who lives, and could you choose other factions, ie: Regulators (<3)

OR maybe totally turn it around, and have the citizens be the RPers? A few RP leaders could control the Raider's actions such as assaults and raids while the citizens always end up smack in the middle of it all.

Xivilai you always have great ideas! That sounds really good, but if that is the case then the town will have to have some sort of police force so that atleast they stand a chance.

I played in an RP with that plot. It was fun with a lot of potential. One of the RPers played as the raider leader and made things interesting. One problem with that was when the guy got bored and stopped posting, we lost our RP's villain. Everything collapsed after that.

What I would suggest is taking it to the next level. What if every person in the RP acted as the faction leader of each of the groups. 3 Raider leaders, 1 Town Guard Captain, 1 Regulator Leader, etc. If some sort of limitation could be set for each group, and if people are willing to fight in a plausible fashion we could make this work.

What do you think?

To be perfectly blunt I don't think anyone here, myself included, is mature enough to have a RP like that. Each faction would end up in a one upping each other pretty quickly.

I think the only way that could work at all would be to have one RPer who was around a lot who would control all the fighting. This impartial party would also have to severely limit what the others can post.

Too many people would want to be Rambo types or Ninja types or incredible leader types or pirate types or vigilante types...etc. etc.
