I have this repair hammer called "Seej-nar's Hammer", its hot (stole the lil svcker somewhere, i assume.). Thing is, i cant drop it, because when i try it says i cannot drop quest items. And i dont have a quest (to my knowledge) requiring this. Now i could understand if this was an item needing to be enchanted etc. later on like for example the Blade of Woe, but i cannot find a listing for the item anywhere. Not on search function here. not on google, none of the wiki's ive gone to. What the heck do i do with this thing? Does it even exist?

Never heard of it. I suspect you on playing on a PC with some mods, and the hammer comes from one of your mods?

Pc yes, mods yes. As for the item coming from them, no clue. Like I said any and all searches bring nothing up. The hammer doesn't exist nor does a character by that name that I can find.


Actually found where it came from, and yes it was a mod. One i hadnt bothered revisiting since i first installed. At any rate the mod is The Pirate Isles Beta in case anyone else happens to brain fart like me and not know where the thing came from. Thanks for the kick in the head leading me to its discovery

The inability to drop it may be a bug in the mod (which you do say is a beta release). Have you reported the glitch in the Mods section? There's probably a thread for the mod if it's still being developed.

The basic game is so well documented and disected that most vanilla glitches are well known. When we see a wierd one, our first suspicion is that it is related to mods.

I would have assumed mod as well, but I had put the game down for so long. Whenever I came back to it the item was already in my inventory before I had applied any Mods. Or so I thought. And just a general inability to find any documentation on the item anywhere had me stumped.@ ghastly im not sure if the mod is still being worked on at this point. Have to check into that.

At any rate i havent made it far in the original mod so i will try this updated version. As for the repair hammer, from what i can tell Seej-nar is an npc i will run into, maybe he needs this blasted thing. Only one way to find out. You have all been very helpful, thanks are in order. No problem, I've run across this mod many-a-times in my browsings, but I've heard its buggy. Is it? I've seriously considered getting it....

Well it is beta, and has been abandoned. I haven't made it far enough to do much of the quests other than to aquire my ship and to raise my pirate rating a bit. There is a bit of lag when returning from a ship battle (not as epic as it may sound), and there aren't many voice overs. So the jury is still out on this one for me.

Actually running back to it there are a few buggy items of note: there is no "mappable" way to return to the isles, you must drop the map and pick it back up (not a horrible deal). A bit of lag ive notice from returning from a plunder quest/mission (again not horrible, but not as epic as it possibly sounds(the plundering/ship battles)). And there is a lack of voice overs. i havent been "stuck" anywhere yet, so good in my book. The "update" brings in a few fixes from what i read. actually accessible from the map etc. but may add new bugs (no clipping on the pilotable ship).

Ahh, yes. i have all expansions/add-ons from bethes, but have not progressed through anything really. so in answer, no couldnt be from shiv. isles since i have not progressed on that lline. its actually definitely from the pir. isles
