Which Oblivion voice actors should be back?

Post » Sun Nov 14, 2010 3:43 pm

Wes Johnson and Michael Mack need to return. :)

The Nord, Breton, Khajiit etc. voice actors were OK as well. I just hope that they separate Bosmer, Altmer and especially Dunmer this time.
That they will have more voice actors this time is promising, and I really hope they have gotten at least 20 different ones (1 male and 1 female for all races).

I think they need the voice actor(s) they had for the Dunmer in Morrowind back, because those coarse voice really gave the Dunmer character. Much better than the Oblivion British aristocrat voice. Otherwise yes I think all of the previous voice actors should return. However I think they need to hire a slew of other voice actors as well to add diversity.

You speak the truth. And I hope that the British aristocrat will still voice the snobbish Altmer, while two other voice actors voice the Bosmer and Dunmer. Dunmer really need to sound as they did in Morrowind.

And how could you forget Sean Bean?! (Martin Septim, anyone...?) - The best Voice Actor for Oblivion...
He's one of the best (Voice) Actors I know, and he puts in so much into the voice acting, and does it with real passion!
He's the one I want back!

My opinion on the matter:
Michael Mack is a Boss.
I liked the voice actor for the female Mer, but I didn't think she fit the role. I didn't like her at all as the Dunmer in Morrowind either. It always seemed like she was an older actress, and I felt that that rarely fit the characters. She's still pretty good though.

But wasn't Sean Bean, Patrick Stewart and Terence Stamp more like famous actors temporarily hired for one game, like Max von Sydow in Skyrim? :)
