Solutions to Freezing Issues

Post » Mon Nov 15, 2010 8:29 am

Ok, I figured out how to solve 99% of the freezing issues. First, I cleaned up all old saved game files. I had like hundreds of files (mainly from Fallout 3). I also deleted all my mp3s and video. I don't know if this helped but I was desperate. Second, I looked at the disk and it had smudges on it. FO4 reads alot from the disk when saving, fast traveling, and entering buildings. I realized that if the disk is messed up then it will crash.

How did you optimize, or get rid of the "smudges" on your disk?

Gee, you've already got Fallout 4? How is it? Any better than that buggy mess Fallout: New Vegas?

With a cloth, I assume? But I think that's a red herring. There's people always trying to optimistically come up with solutions for Fallout New Vegas's Freezing, like there was with Fallout 3. The fact its, Fallout New Vegas is a buggy crashy mess. I have no doubts that gamesas knew this and released it anyway. In fact, they've made no mention of fixing the freezes and patch 1.02 doesn't fix it either.

No other game I've played on PS3 has ever crashed. EVER. So it's nothing to do with the hardware, or the disc - it's a faulty game.

I've had three games crash on me for PS3: Fallout 3, Fallout 3 GOTY Edition, and Fallout: New Vegas. The last of the three being the most frequent offender.
