You're right.
I logged on to call the OP a liar and, lo and behold, 1.02 was found.

Congrats on being the first, OP!
:goodjob:

Oh, and for the nerdy like me ... it's 20MB and took about 1 minute to download.

20 MB are you kidding me? This patch is smaller than the first one? Well I'll be trying soon enough.

20 MB wouldn't make a lot of sense, since the FalloutNV.esm is 230 MB, and the patch would pretty much be an updated FalloutNV.esm together with some engine related fixes.

It makes sense if they are handling it via an update.esm.

My question is.. how is this in any way, shape or form comprehensive, since the damn thing still crashes?

I don't think thats ever going to stop fully. The PS3 Versions of Oblivion and F3 are still notorious for crashing so that problem is probably strongly engine related.

Well, F3 and Oblivion both were very stable for me at least a good 4-5 hours of play before I started to run into any problems. NV, on the other hand I can barely play for a hour before it starts to crash. I haven't even tried the new patch because from what I hear it doesn't make it anymore stable. And I already went and did the recovery menu "wipe" to get rid of the corrupt files NV caused and I don't really want to do that again so... guess I won't be playing NV. Whatever happened to quality You can't find it anywhere these days even in simple things like music and video games.
