Dismemberment.

Dismemberment isn't sick, really. We see it in movies all the time, and, if Bethesda can pull it off realistically and not as they did in Fallout 3 (a totally different game experience), I'm open arms for it. Assuming Skyrim is darker and grittier, I kind of expect it. And I'm sure all of the Nord players will want it to add to that viking feel.

An arrow to the arm will certainly not chop it off, and, when using swords and axes, limbs should only be lopped after a few hits. This makes sense when you start fighting enemies with plated armor.

EDIT: I think we may want to think about impairments, such as those found in Fallout 3. For example, when my character encounters a grenade, his leg goes limp. I hope at least THIS mechanic makes it into Skyrim, as it isn't gorey but still realistic.

As long as it's more classy than Fallout, I'm all for it. Yes... classy dismemberment. :P

Yes! I disliked the fact that I couldn't dismember someone in Oblivion.

Also, an option to stick heads onto spears please. :celebration:

I like your style

maybe some impaling and burning people while they are alive would be awesome, OH and maybe if the enemy gets killed by zombies they actually eat him while he is screaming :touched:

I would like to see enemies crippled and falling to the ground. Then you can finish them off like at 1:40 in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2X_SbZCHpc. Such a finisher would be awesome!

What I wouldn't like is excessive bloodsprays like in that same video.
