Do you take requests?

I was curious. I have no other motivation for this question. Really. Honestly. I don't. :whistling:

yes, if it's something interesting, like "make this armor if you can" not "retexture this glass retex from light red to dark red plox :bonk: "

If someone posts an idea and I like it, and I would want it in my own game, and it's not too difficult, I might do it. At least, for Fallout 3. I'm not so good at modding Morrowind and I'm not really interested in making little mods for Oblivion.

I made 2 dialogue mods for Fallout 3 that were both requests. One allows you to give the toys you can find around the wasteland to children, the other makes people react to you when you walk around naked. :P

I also made one other mod that increases the range at which gunfire can be heard. Now I can't play without it either. :D

Thats generally the way I look at it, alternately if I'm in the right frame of mind and I'm looking for a distraction I may take the request if its within my abilities to fulfill it. :)

I have a tight group of friends with zero mod making ability :D i often cough out little mods for them for a beer (or similar worthy bartering token :celebration: )

Ive only recently gotten involved with the online community (to this forums extent) but have already recieved, pending the release of POA, requests for some effort put into a Camonna Tong mod... see how it goes

I think deep down, most people with any skill would do anything that was politely asked of them so long as it was interesting enough and feasible enough,

..like making decent-ish sequels :fallout:

If the request is interesting enough and I would like to use it too, or it is simple enough to be made even if I won't use it. But generally I'm ready to look at people's ideas and atleast think what it would require to make a mod out of it.

I love doing requests when they're within my skillset. I've done a few in the past and will continue to do so. I've recently started on the island for ModTown 2010-11 just because someone said "let's get this started". :)

I do take requests. Almost all shaders I posted on forums were after requests. :) Please request more graphical enchants.

As Kiteflyer said, I also take requests if they're within my skill set. Most I see aren't, so I don't take them.

I don't take requests at this time, because I am still learning the editor. If I do start taking requests in the future, it would be for simple stuff that doesn't require new meshes, textures, or very complicated scripting, though I can do some.

I don't even have enough time for my own mods anymore!
Besides, most REQ are either specialty requests that few of us can do (new animations, models) or they are so simple that the person should do it themselves (build me a home.)

Depends, is their personality skill at 100? What about their speechcraft skill? Also, my disposition will stay at 50 until I'm bribed 1000 gold.

No, I kid. I'll take quick, easy requests within my skill... Which is newbie level.

No. My talents are so limited, I don't think I'd be able to do whatever people have in mind anyway.

Actually... I did help out on a few things. Back when I did the ingredient retextures, I also made some for Melchior's new elementals. And I put daedric textures on the helm of tohan. Maybe I helped with other things that I don't recall doing, I don't remember.

If any requests fell within my limited expertise, and if I had the time and inclination, I wouldn't be against helping out.

I am really grateful for all the help I have received from requests I have made. It's taking me a long time, but I hope to be able to give back to the community that has helped me so much. :foodndrink:

Let's say I have an idea/request for a mod... Where would be the best place to say it?

I also may get into creating mods myself, I wouldn't count on anything productive coming out of me, though :P

Start a new thread with your request, Restricted. Just know that asking for new animations may not be replied to because there are very few animators for MW anymore.

Occasionally someone will ask for a face - and as there are not a lot of face texturers around if no one offers to help I'll give it a go - I'll occasionally ask if someone will make a mesh for me that i can't find elsewhere or a script i can't get my head around - there's still quite a good dose of generosity on the forums :)

I'll take requests to add or change something about my own mods, but I may or may not do them depending on whether they fit my skill set and whether I thnk they're feasible. I have so many mod ideas and such limited time at the moment that I'm not going to take on a new mod out of the blue. I will offer advice when I can, though.
