I think it's a joke about deleted cells, they somewhat resemble the dirt patch. But hell if I know. Parts of the world that go missing isn't that strange though, Pelinal made a few bits disappear too. Just nod and smile because it's a good story to be told over a pitcher of Mead.

Personally, I greatly enjoy Nordic lore. I think its great.
