Hi everyone.

I just decided to come back to Oblivion after a break.
I have a Computer with 2 GB of ram and a Geforce 8800 GTS
Lastest nvidia drivers 266.58.

The problem is when i load my formely saved games all my magic weapons are white:

I did some digging and found out that i might relate to glow but even the no glow mods fix it.
Also the white textures appear in the character eyes and magic weapons but not in normal weapons and normal or magic armour.

Help me out here please !

Try deleting the .ini file in your My Documents\My Games\Oblivion folder....it is the configuration settings file called Oblivion. Delete it, then refire up the game so a new one gets generated.

Did that and the result is the same. White eyes and magic weapons.
Tried instaling a No glow mod and it made the wepons ok as long as i don't change the prespective to 3rd person.
If i do it, all gets white again. And if i unequip the weapond with this mod in first person perspective and reequip it the weapon is ok as long as i don't change prescpetive.
So it all points out to a glow problem.
Also tried installing an older driver version (more than two years since it was sent out) and still no good.

Ok I think i fix it installing the latest version of OBSE with the mod Windom Earle_s Oblivion Crash Prevention System.

Don't know exactly what each program did but it was one of these two.

when you reinstalled did you put back all the old data,. looks like the textures might be missing,.. OR in a different path,.. I had that
a couple of times when Nifskope saved the data path with full path and I found deleting c:\program files etc and just leaving
the \Textures\ etc worked a treat
