Hmmm, overheard a conversation between 2 bandits: "They say if you eat taproot it will bring you good luck." Been playing this game for hundreds of hours and never recall hearing this. Anyway, my next destination was the Shrine of Boethia. On the oft chance that the bandit might have something, I ate a taproot before entering the gate to the contest arenas. THREE of the contestants fell into the lava before I even saw them!!! Coincidence?? Anyone else ever had remarkable events after eating taproot?

It was a coincidence, nothing more. In fact, for me, that would be bad luck - how am I supposed to look their armor if they're in lava?

It is a known conversation topic. They say it helps luck because luck is the first alchemical effect.

They say the same thing about other ingredients too. Like "Nightshade is very poisonous" and Cairn Bollette has restorative properties.
