Unacceptable. Completely.

This is getting ridiculous. How can this game be put on shelves? I don't understand. And then all the positive reviews, what, did you pay off these people?
Glitches all around. Game locks up three times RIGHT at the end quest. Lost my companions several times. Lock ups, but that's a given with any Bethesda game, Obsidian game, WHATEVER. During the president's speech, oh he just stands there after I complete the quest, thus not letting me travel back anywhere. Can't finish the Brotherhood because some moron can't script a game properly, and some company can't hire some people to test out a CLEARLY broken game. Seriously, you only have to play an hour of the game to see the errors. I was patient with this one. [censored], I've maxed out my character and played 40 hours of the game. This is the pinnacle of the garbage state videogame developing has become. Feed games to the masses that you know will sell, and screw it, if it's broken that's okay, you'll have money in your pocket. Well guess what, I have never been this angry about a videogame. I am going out of my way to ward people away from it.

I understand you want to vent, and that's your right. However if you'd read anything in this forum you'll notice that not everyone has the same issues. The reviews all clearly state they encountered quite a lot of problems, but it was worth getting despite that.

Return it or don't, the loss is yours if you do once the big issues are fixed.

I agree with the OP (don't know about the 'easiness' of it) the company needs to make sure the game functions properly without any 'gamebreakers' at the very least, and certainly test its 'patches' which only seem to make things worse.

Hey, if every other game company can release polished games, then it's not unreasonable to expect Beth/Obsidian to do the same. Everyone appreciates how hard programming is and how hard it can be to meet deadlines with something like this because you simply don't know how long it's going to take, but if every single other game company can manage it, that's no excuse.

Stop with the damage control for this game. It's great some people got through lengthy playthroughs without encountering the game breaking glitches, but the fact remains most people are affected by them. Bethesda and Obsidian knew about these issues at launch and chose to ignore them. There is NO WAY the QA team didn't encounter things like the black screen entering The Strip, save game corruption, weapon mod glitches, etc.

yeah, I actually think its a great game. bugs are bugs, it happens. I sure as hell couldn't of made a game this good haha. It is, after all, a video game. Its not like you bought a car and the engine fell out and the brakes are not present.

not sure if you read but its more the the bugs, its the [censored] game breaking save game/dlc glitch. Which makes play the game impossible. So technically my "engine" or "brakes" just fell off. i cant play it. i cant load my files and progress through the game or play it at all.

Yeah, because the couple hundred people on these and other forums constitutes "most" when the game has sold hundred of thousands of copies. Drama queen much?

Land if you do a couple of searches on the internet "fallout new vegas game save corruption" "bugs' "glitches" you will see that maybe he's not a such "Drama Queen." You would also have to take a look a how many in this forum, how many playing the game, and factor that into the couple of hundred people complaining on this forum. Couple that with the lack of updates from the devs on whats going on you start to wonder about the extent of the problem.

I can deal with some of the games bugs and glitches but the corrupt save files have stopped me dead in my tracks. I lost hours of gameplay and I am now afraid to continue out of fear it will happen again. The corrupt save file is THE one problem I'd like fixed post-haste.

The amount of Fanboyism and/or blantant lying about not encountering bugs is amazing. To all those people who say the reviews said there where bugs, yea sure they did. However they never said the I am at the mercy of the code to if my save will get a DLC error if a random crash happens. You know what I love this game gosh darnet. However I ain't blind and it seems almost any other developer can put out a game without it being so bad most people have simply stoped playing the game untill patches come out. Not to mention people who may not have constant acess to the internet they got screwed so bad I feel sorry for them. I will say it a hundered times this ain't a beta. I payed 60 U.S. dollars to get a game and play it for a thousand hours and not worrie about being at the mercy of programmers. Also you know what I do indie programming, I know sometimes stuff happens and it screws alot of things up and they can be helluva hard to fix. However they aren't indie programmers they get paid on average 70-100k a year. They got a whole team they make millions of dollars for their company, you think they would be atleast able to fix all the game breakers or even test the dam thing!

I reloaded a previous save and I haven't had a significant problem since. Very discouraging but I was able to make up the lost time in one sitting.
