I hope it is quite advanced up here in Skyrim. Not just abandoned mines, but also working mines.

Any sort of production would be nice to see now that crafting is included.

Now that you mention it, I have to wonder; Where did Cyrodill get all its marble, rock, metals and lumber? I sure never saw any active mines, quarries nor lumber mills.

Well, mining is now an activity that can be done by the player... Maybe now we will see true mines.

Maybe they imported everything instead of working themselves, the lazy bastards.

To go into more depth, I hope to see more than just mines. Quarries and lumber mills, which have already been mentioned, would be great to see somewhere, as would larger arms manufactories, shipwrights, farms and if we're getting really detailed other kinds of craftsmen - potters (Harry the potter anyone?), carpenters, things like that. It'd definitely be a nice touch, but just working mines and quarries would be great for a start. Quarries in particular, since all those famously firm Nordic forts have to take their stone from somewhere.

Well, they did add mining as a player action, so we can expect to see some mining action, hopefully.

i seriously love this addition to the game so that now when ever you run out of money you could go mine some rock instead of breaking into peoples houses to steal a loaf of bread, some clogs, and tongs to sell at one septim a piece.

Yeah, I had mentioned that one before. It'll be a lot of fun because you can mine, farm, blacksmith, or whatever else they have to make money instead of stealing or adventuring. We can finally attempt to make an honest living.

You know what? I never really thought of these things in this way...

Wow, great possibilities for roleplaying. And great amount of replayability.

Yes! Mining industry. I also want to be able to mine myself, real-time of course.
In addition, I wanna lumberjack, fish!
Perhaps even plant some seeds :)

I love mines, they're my favourite types of dungeons. I hope they're not so generic in Skyrim.

Of course, it'd also be great to see mines which are used, rather than just the dungeony ones, which Tamriel had copious amounts of.
