Depends on your marksman skill, the effect of gravity is more apparent the lower it is.

It's tricky, but I've succeeded during a couple of playthroughs. Fire several practice shots with other arrows first, and watch where they strike the statue.

in the middle of the room is "flooor switch" step on it and statue will turn around a you will know what to hit.,.,as syronj said ,, first practice with others arrows antil you hit it,., and don`t move the bow, then use arrow of extraction ,,and that`s it

Most characters have success aiming at the cross of the hilt on the statue's sword, and then adjusting from there. The sound of the arrow striking will tell you when you've hit it. Be sure to save right before shooting the Arrow of Extrication in case you miss.

I managed this with a marksman skill of 6 on my last playthrough :) As suggested, aim at the cross of the hilt using iron arrows. Once you find the sweet spot (you can tell by the noise), then use the arrow of extrication.

Like they said, practice with some regular arrows first. Once you hear the magic sound (You'll know it when you hear it), save, then shoot the Arrow of Extrication at that same spot.

I shot at the statues head once direct center and it sped down to the traget. But do what these guys say, practice with test shots.

Save before you do it. If you run out of normal arrows you have to keep reloading it until you get it.

I usually take about 5 arrows to "practice" with. The sword hilt seems to always work for me though. Today I only needed one "test-shot" to line it up.
