I had Mazoga's quest on hands. The game crashed as soon as she came near Fisherman's Rock; sometimes earlier or eventually if I chose to go somewhere else, but Fisherman's Rock crash was a 100% stable symptom. It seemed not possible to avoid it. The saved game already had her quest activated, and this stupid ugly muzzle plain refused to understand a simple order "stay here, dammit!" - she would stay for a while, but teleported each time I changed the location and continued to follow from there, pestering me with her "take me to Fisherman's Rock, NOW". Apparently she had her own idea about who's the Champion of Cyrodiil in this game. :swear:
Grrr. After all, I reverted to the next earlier saved game (dissing the whole Leyawiin experience, but oh well) and went to Chorrol. I decided that if I just stay away from Mazoga, I'll be able to play undisturbed for some time, without the need to investigate all my mods in search for a culprit and possibly lose some mod I liked and used to have. So, I went to Chorrol... and incidentally, the first quest I took there was Odiil brothers goblin field. As soon as they'd reach the battle position, the game would crash once again. With a heavy sigh, I prepared for a long and tedious task of eviscerating my mod list (and trying to remember what crazy mix of *pluginless* mods I concocted  ), when just on a lucky guess I decided to try the same quest once again, with my fresh-out-from-Imperial-prison save. It went completely all right... well, no, not *quite* all right. I died. But it did not matter anymore.
At this point, I had enough clues to figure what could possibly be the reason. I removed Better Levelled Lists from my modlist and voila! both quests finished flawlessly. It could be "case closed" for me, but... point is, I don't *want* to get rid of BLL. I like the idea of reasonable monster levelling, and BLL seems quite a simple and useful mod. Apart from its unlucky habit of crashing my game to the desktop.
So. Did anybody have a similar experience with this mod and how did you handle the problem? Could it be that only a couple of entries cause the problem, and by excising just them from the mod I could continue to play without losing BLL functionality in general? I tried to place BLL both above and below the Bashed Patch, but its behavior did not change because of it. I also tried to incorporate BLL *into* the Patch, but Bash refuses to mark it as mergeable. Any other ideas?
Thanks.
