And with that answered I'm wondering what point this thread has? It's generally best to create a discussion topic rather than a one off question like this. (Asking for help with something in the hints or hardware forums is a different matter, but with trivia if you do one off questions its can get rather spammy).

That would be incorrect. Pip Boy is a device you wear on your arm. What you are thinking is Vault Boy. However it's not Vault Boy either.

Umm the vault-boy in RL? ...or the bootleg vault-boy. Could it be something from Fallout:NV (maybe the vault-boy for Fallout:NV)?

DOH! Why didn't I remember that? Oh yeah, because I haven't played 1 or 2 in quite a while because the, how to put this delicately, 'lack of decent graphics' hurts these ancient eyes and gives me a headache.

It's one of the many bits of trivia I have memorised, much like the http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-4/147506/fallout2aar019.jpg (they're two references to Star Wars IV).

I love the graphical style of F1/F2. I enjoyed them back when I first played them in my teens and to this day. I can't imagine how they'd give anyone a headache, but I'm sorry to hear of your suffering.
