Lan Capability?

would there be any lans with this game? i know there isnt split screen but i like to hold local lans for games and im excited for this one, and havent heard about it.

I do hope that its possible to play this on lans comfortably, it would be great for it.

I think there is a general lan-support.

At least it has not been stated that SD would disallow it.

on PC there should be no problem as Steam allows offline play, iiirc there was mention of system link so consoles should be ok as well

Considering how Splash Damage is trying to balance the single-player experience with the cooperative and competitive aspects of the game, I'd be surprised if there WASN'T LAN support.

ET:QW only required cd key for online play, that allowed people with unregistered games to play offline on LAN, not all companies are ok with that usage of their property so some disallow LAN or require everyone to be connected to the internet to play

If it ends up possible to specify the URL/ip of the host (instead of being forced to use a published server list) then it most definitely would be possible. Right?

Here's what my brothers and I did when playing together in Alien Swarm. Have one of us host online and two of us join. Since we share our internet connection via modem there shouldn't be a problem.

there's always a way to LAN on PC using VPN or similar
