Geck is broken...

Post » Sat Nov 27, 2010 7:09 am

So I was modding away happily, minding my own business. When the GECK decided it should break. I have no clue whats going on. I cannot move the camera in the render window. It started when I would double click to bring up a reference window, and it would say "could not open window" and all the tabs were blank. Then all of a sudden, bam, cannot move. I can still select things in the window, but it does not outline them properly like normal, I can toggle lights with A and other things. Clicking anything on the toolbar does nothing it seems. I can move to new cells, and all that, but cannot move the camera or open reference windows... It was abrubt and I havent a clue what caused it. I tried closing and reopening the geck and its still doing it... This obvious is a massive issue and is stopping me from continuing... If you have an clue whats going on here PLEASE TELL ME... Thanks.

EDIT: Nevermind, deleting both .ini files for the GECK then opening it again fixed the problem. Probably should have tried that before posting, but I still havent a clue what I did to cause it >.>

Must have been a time-space continuum anomaly, for sure.

But of course! That explains how deleting the .ini files fixed it. As we all know, they clearly control the continuum.

Is it happening with any reference, or a specific one? Maybe check your mod with FO3Edit for some corruption, maybe try loading a different mod and see if it occurs. But if it only happens sporadically, it might be a bit hard to pin down.

Yea its with random references... And seems out of the blue and sparatic D: Luckly I can just delete the .ini and its fixed. But still would like to prevent it from happening in the future.
