I have never heard of 'Morrowind Redux' and Google doesn't bring up anything useful , if you let us know what the mod did exactly , then i am sure we can recommend a suitable alternative.
The mod changed
everything, which meant it wasn't very popular since it wasn't compatible with any other mod. As I recall, only a few hundred people used it. However, the creator folded in a bunch of other mods into Morrowind Redux so that you really didn't need those other mods. This is before people started demanding that you ask permission to use anything and everything that they ever did, even if all that they did was adjust some numbers on some tables. I remember the guy got disillusioned with the change in the modding community and left (he was one of the last of the original modders to go), although he did make Morrowind Redux privately available to a couple hundred of us for awhile after that, including all the latest changes, from a site he had access to.
The mod was amazing, really; it fixed spell-casting, enchantment, potion-making, leveling and point distribution, etc. etc. - essentially everything anyone ever complained about in Morrowind. It also included just about every clothing/weapon/armor mod ever made (at the time, at least), which no one else had even tried to do at the time. Morrowind turned from a cakewalk into a really difficult adventure - and one you could wander through very well dressed!
I doubt anyone here has one of the later versions of the mod (it was only privately distributed at that point), but I'd be perfectly satisfied with one of the earlier versions. Any version, actually. After playing with Redux I couldn't imagine playing without it.
P.S. He seems to have disappeared from the internet altogether a few years ago. I've been unable to locate him and I don't get any response at all from his old email address.
