At this point in the quest (escaping the Enclave at Project Purity to get to the Citadel) Dr. Li is supposed to tell me that Vargas needs medical treatment and won't continue without him. This hasn't triggered. I've cleared the tunnel, exited at the Citadel anyway but Dr Li hasn't followed me (she's back in that room with Vargas). I've tried shooting Vargas to see if that does anything. I've tried reloading saves. Dr Li just stays in that room and her only conversation response is to say that getting to the Citadel is our only chance. Is there a way to advance the quest using the console?

Are you sure his name is Vargas?
because th only Vargas that i know is paladin Vargas and he is not with you in the taft tunnels is he?
Just go crouch hidden and shoot him.

It is Garza. I had this happen the last time I played. I never even saw Garza. Only Dr. Li exited the tunnel with me. The other two wouldn't leave. Later I found Garza dead where the Supermutants have a camp between Rivet City and the memorial (where you can free a captive). I was able to finish that quest, but had problems in Little Lamplight later. I had to use a console command to get into Vault 87...or is it 82?
