Some help wanted

[SPOILERS]

As the name suggests, I'm in need of some aid for the benefit of my roleplay. Basically, I'm currently playing the role of a Vampiric Imperial Listener, who is the sole survivor of a centuries old Vampire clan. This clan used to feed on powerful figures before killing them, in order to gain the dark thoughts and beliefs of their victims, which they relished. They were the ultimate symbol of human corruption.

So, I plan on having this character feed on and kill as many of the major characters as possible, such as Baurus and the Counts/Countesses. And so this is where I need some help. It'd look a bit stupid for me to attack a castle and annihalate all of its soldiers, just to find out that its count is "essential".

Basically, I was hoping someone could tell me which of these characters can actually be killed at some point, be it straight away, or after completing a quest involving them. Naturally, they also have to sleep at some point so if they can be killed but don't sleep, they're not good to me, and vica versa.

-- The counts/countesses
-- Any of the named members of the Arcane University
-- Any of the heads of the Mage's Guild Halls
-- Any of the heads of the Fighter's Guild Halls
-- Corvus Umbranox (Gray Fox post-Thieves' Guild)

Thank you in advance. =)

Can't exactly help you with your question

But If you're on PC I'm pretty sure you can set characters non-essential, failing that there is probably a mod out there some where that could help you

I know that the count of Bruma and countess of Leyawiin aren't essential.

By the way, you do know that feeding on someone doesn't kill them, right? You could let them live, wether they are essential or not..

Feeding doesn't kill characters... but anyway:

Both the Count of Bravil and his son are not essesntial and can be killed whenever
The Countess of Anvil is killable at the end of the Thieves Guild questline
The son of the Count of Cheydinall is killable if you bring him back after he gets lost in Oblivion

You can look up any NPC you want here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:People

If you look them up, the lower portion of their 'stat' box indicates if they are essential.

Also when you put your mouse over someone, if your cursor changes to a crown in shape, they are essential. If it remains a circle, they are not.
