Hello everyone! This is my last ditch effort to resolve this progress ending glitch and I really hoping someone here can help. I am running an up to date patched Oblivion on the 360.

This is happening in Miscarcand for the Great Wekylund (sp) quest. I think there is a pretty common issue with pressure plates not opening gates when activated. I was able to get past 2 of them by choosing "wait" in front of the plate without touching it. then quitting the game and logging out of my profile and finally manually loading the save and logging back into my profile. This is a strange work around but I will do it if i need to.

HOWEVER, the gate from Sel Vanua leading to Morimath is stuck closed and i have no idea how to open it. I cannot find a pressure plate or button to apply the work-around and activate that door.
I am extremely frustrated as i have tried for hours to work on this glitch.

Does anyone have any information that can help me find what activates that gate or better yet a permanent fix to this angering glitch. Please ask questions if i was not descriptive enough.
I have put over 70 hours into the game but have never beaten it before. I put the game down years ago because this glitch would not let me progress and am now trying to beat this game so I can go in fresh with Skyrim.
Im losing faith in Bethesda after having major issues with Oblivion and Fallout 3. Rejuvenate my faith!

Hopefully this glitch only exists in this area only and I will be able to play like normal from now on.
