Vault Dweller Action Figure

Post » Wed Dec 08, 2010 5:43 am

Well, it's been forever since I've been here, but I popped back in to post http://www.angelfire.com/mech/jinsaotome/JinsDangerousToys/VaultDweller.html. Someone was asked to make a vault dweller action figure as a present for Todd Howard (I hear they also found an enormous cake with Princess Stomper inside it).

Sorry if this has already been posted, like I say I don't hang out in Fallout much.

The uniform is still too clean, Dogmeat looks like a fox, and Vault Boy's should have a smile-on a different face than that one.

Vault Dweller, not Vault Boy. I see no reason in the game for the Vault Dweller to smile much.

It looks good, but the guns don't match. I would have paid for a DLC that included an Assault Rifle with a grenade Launcher alt-fire.

Oh my mistake. Well then he looks way to Aryan for a vault dweller. And his face still looks strange.

Really nice! (but is he cross-eyed?)

The face reminds me of someone from "Aeon Flux", and the hair (nothing wrong with it), but here is a portrait of the Vault dweller...

Good hands too. :tops:

That's actually the wrong Vault Dweller. The action figure is the vault dweller from Fallout 3, usually called the Lone Wanderer, whereas that image is the Vault Dweller from the original Fallout. Since there is no canon face for the Lone Wanderer I don't think anyone can say it's wrong.

However, the face was taken from an action figure of The Crow, who tends to be more.....creepy....looking than most would probably prefer the Lone Wanderer to be. The artist did an amazing job converting it from the original Crow face, though.

I picked that image for what it was... the FO1 Vault Dweller.

No one can say its wrong, but the style of the vault dweller would be stereotyped fifties right?
(and I would think that the Lone Wanderer is distinguished from the Vault Dweller in the series)

Its a great figure, to be sure.
