Community Project Northreach Quest Discussion

Post » Wed Dec 08, 2010 10:09 pm

Our community town, Northreach, is going to have quests, because every town needs quests! The question is, how should we do it?

Also, we need a person who is good at designing quests to join the project if this poll is going to be relevant.

The design of Northreach is progressing well so far. Keep up the good work everyone!

Call me crazy (I must be), but I like the idea of numerous small quests. While "epic" quests are good on occasion, I like the little quests that you stumble on by "accident". :)

Well, er... what's wrong with both? And why does it have to involve a Daedric ruin when that would be rather unsuitable to a Nord city? I can make quests but there's a bunch of TR stuff I want to do first so probably won't be able to help on that fornt for quiet a while.

I don't see why we can't do a bunch of miscellaneous quests and a main quest, it's not like we're in a rush to release this thing. We can take our time and do both, give the project that extra shine. But if we're forced to choose, I'd go with a bunch of miscellaneous quests.

You know I'm a quest modder, right? And I've already joined the project. :P Though more quest modders signing on would be a good thing.

Greatness, maybe the Daedric temple was there first, and abandoned before the Nords came? It can still be a lore-friendly combination, if the timeline is done properly.

I am with Darkelfguy, why not take out the time build up the epic quest line that will involve the island as a whole, with a bunch of little quests through in? I believe that it would really be better to have both. If we choose one and not that will turn some players away.

And on a side note, I can write the quest out, design concepts and such, I just need someone who knows how to put it all into the CS.

Why don't you learn? No offense but no one likes being told what to do by someone who can't do it themselves.

I am going to learn questing and dialogue soon, so I might be able to do some myself. And i would never impose on someone like. My quest would be purely concepts, if anyone wants to build them, that's great, if they don't want to, or if they want to change it around, add their own twist and what not, that's great too. I would never force someone to do something just because it's my idea. I would go and learn to do it myself.

I rebooted the poll, so if any of you voted please vote again. I added another option.
