Autobiography?

Read that gooch359 is thinking about doing a diary... good idea and it dawned on me to try something a little different.

Writers of fiction often make up biography's of their main characters and as the story develops they stay within their characters outline. In other words the character does not stray far from his or her particular personalities, as to do so would be contrary to who they really are.

So... thinking of writing an autobiography of a Wasteland character (before starting actual play) and as the game develops staying within those parameters. The a-bio could be as detailed as I wish to make it. I would as of necessity stay away from the main quest as the main quest character is already pretty well fleshed out.

1- Where in the Wastes I was born, date and year of my birth, male or female

2- Who my parents were. What they did? Father a soldier, Mother a nurse for example. Still alive or died of disease or maybe murdered? Who or what murdered them? Did I see it happen and how did this awful experience effect my mind/psyche.

3- Am I educated? If so educated in what by whom and how smart am I really?

3a- I would use a-bio outline to set S.P.E.C.I.A.L., Skills and Perks as I progressed through the game.

4- I would (in my mind) think of each Level Up as the passage of 1 year. Say I start at the age of 18... by the time I am at level 30 I would be 48 years old and I would use the game difficulty to reflect the aging process... From very easy to very hard...

Example: from age 18 to 25-Very Easy / from 26 to 31 Easy / from 32 to 36 Normal / from 37 to 43 Hard and from 44 to 48 Very Hard

So whatcha think?

Thanks

I think it would be an interesting sketch. If you do it and choose SPECIAL plus perks could you please look for my thread on character builds (page or two down in general discussion) and post the SPECIAL and perks along with brief (and non-spoiler) sketch. I was kind of hoping more people would post builds :) You don't have to of course I am just inviting you to do so.

I personally think it would be a great idea. Perhaps you'll find it more interesting to play the game. The difficulty depending on the age thing you have going is an unique idea and I wish I had though of that. Though I think it would start out harder at first, because your young and make mistakes, and than get easier as you reach your prime, and then harder again as you reach age forty whereabouts.
