1. Introduction
Dear Elderscrolls community,

Since I had some free time on my hands I decided to play with NifScope and Photoshop a bit, to create some more variations to the exsisting portals and Oblivion gates. This is a modders resource so you can use this resource in your modification should you want so.

For mod players: Be gone! Modders only!

2. Requirements
In order for this Resource to work you need the following:

v1.0:
- Oblivion v1.2.0.416
OR
- The Shivering Isles v1.2.0.416

This resource will not work on outdated versions of the game! It would also be handy to have a mod to include these portals in.

3. Compatibility
No known compatibility problems.

4. Feautures
This resource adds 7 new color variants to the original Cyan magic portal:
- Amber
- Blue
- Green
- Pink
- Purple
- Red
- Yellow

It also adds two new color variants to the original Oblivion gates:
- Cyan
- Pink

In the future I may include more colors for both portals and gates. Unfortunately, the Oblivion gate mesh has over 250 textures attached to it which all have to be edited and renamed for every new color. Furthermore all these names also have to be changed in the mesh. There are also quite a bit of NiColorData blocks to edit. This makes creating more color variants for Oblivion gates a rather boring, timeconsuming and tedious task.

5. Installation and De-installation
Extract all the contents of the archive to the Oblivion data directory. The default location is C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data. After this you must use the Oblivion launcher, the Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) or Wrye Bash to activate the Resource.

De-installation is easy. Just remove all the files added by this resource.

7. Changelog
v1.0
- Initial Release

8. Legal
Do not upload my modification anywhere witouth my permission
Do not re-release this modification under your name

Feel free to use this resource or part of this resource in your modification

You do not have to include the ESM to your modification per se. You can also just add the portals and gates manually to your ESP/ESM file. If you wish to use the included ESM, you're free to do so as well.

If you use this resource in any of your modifications, I would appreciate it if you give me credit.

I am not responsible for your hard disk suffering from a head crash when WinRAR is extracting the modification to the Oblivion data directory, nor am I responsible for any other damage caused directly and/or indirectly by this modification.

Enjoy the Resource!

Hey, I know that TalkieToaster did a Staff of Portals at Rindeer's Staffs, and left that unfinished. That might be an easy way to put the portals in the game, if he gives you permission.

Nice! :) These will help spice things up with those mods that use these portals :goodjob:

I recently needed some door portals, I ended up just using an animated texture on part of the fort door. looked a bit retro though.
