I really like west indies culture. I wonder what happened to the islands after all was said and done. Like Jamaica in a post apocalypse setting is a wild thought, just think rasta ghoul. Has anything ever been said about the area, any thoughts?

Nothing official. I'd guess you're major issues would be the fall of international order and trade as there'd be no reason for China to nuke it as its not a beligerent state, so loss of imports and stuff like that. Probably been carved up between warlords, crime bosses and other strong men.

I'd imagine it would be the same with most smallish non-combatant islands

Yeah i suppose, i'm sure fallout will never take place in another country so i doubt we will ever really hear anything about it. Warlords is pretty plausible thing too, considering they support whole communities over there even now.

Given the amount, and effect, of the oceans boiling, I think thats clearly Hyperbole for storytelling reasons - its not what actually happened in the world.
