Not too long ago, my computer crashed. I was able to backup files before wiping my hard drive. Just recently I decided to re-install the Fallout Trilogy pack which I purchased off of Interplay's website. All three games seemed to install like normal but when I go to start them up neither of them work.

Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 are having the same issue. (http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo285/LemonBomb_2008/untitled.jpg?t=1275590853) When I click to skip through the intro scenes the screen colors turn abnormal and the game freezes where it's at. (The previous screen shot shows a black background, while in-game it is actually lime green with white text.) Letting the intro scenes run until the end only produced the same results.

In Fallout: Tactics, the screen goes black without any scenes at all. After closing the game using Task Manager, I get http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo285/LemonBomb_2008/Decorated%20images/tacticserror.jpg?t=1275591146.

I have tried restarting the computer after the first intallation, I tried re-installing, I even tried opening the game over and over hoping that it would work. I am at a loss as to what to do. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You should get high resolution patch for original RPG's, available from NMA. It fixes color issue and allows higher resolutions, still it's not scaling so I wouldn't recommend using resolutions much higher than 1024x768 as sprites wont scale up, resolution is set by editing text file in game directory, files are f1_res.ini and f2_res.ini. If you are using computer with DirectX10 or DX11, install DX 9.0c as it includes components of older DX's that aren't present in newer builds. Fallout's were made with using DX 4 and MacroSloth in it's infinite wisdom has removed parts that aren't used that much today from DX.

You should also install unofficial patches to games, there were plenty of bugs in games even after last official patches. Killap's Fallout 2 restoration project-mod is also worth cheking out, but I would play vanilla game before installing that, it adds lot of features and locations to game that weren't finished by publication, it's based on notes of designers, it fixes tons of bugs and unlocks content that was originally meant but didn't work due to bugs besides adding content recreations that were deleted completely.
