Which mods am I able to run?

Hi all, it's been a long time since I played Morrowind where I used telesphoros' list for recommendations of mods. After so long, I'm glad to see the modding community is still alive :)

I had decided to boot this game up again due to nostalgic. But now I only has this crappy laptop, I would like to ask which are the mods am I able to run at least smoothly with this machine? (Morrowind with Tribunal and Bloodmoon). I'm hoping to be able to run at least with better bodies, the graphic mods (which changed the graphics and textures betters, something like qarl's enhancer?, morrowind comes alive, etc). At least these were the mods I'm playing with last time on my better system.

My system specs:
Processor: Intel Centrino 1.73 Ghz
Ram: 1 GB
Graphic Card: Intel 915GM/GMS, 910 GML
Harddisk: Free space 8GB, Total Size 55GB

I know the specs are crappy, so is there any chance I can run any mods with this?

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1115081-rel-richer-textures/ a link to Lattice's thread who created new low-res textures with better contrast, color balance, etc.

Also, most non-graphical mods should have basically no impact on performance. Of course, mods that add a lot of NPCs, objects, or scripts to overpopulated areas should be avoided.

If you can run comfortably run vanilla Morrowind, you can probably run a lot of mods. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1060141-mod-recommendations-for-new-players/ is a good place to start finding good stuff to try.

It's hard to say a priori which mods will severely impact your performance, but in general Morrowind is CPU bound, so the faster your processor (and bigger CPU cache) the better. Mods like MCA, which add lots of NPCs may decrease FPS in areas where lots of NPCs occur.

I think the best thing to do is find out yourself by trying mods, but you should add them slowly, not all at once, so you get an idea of how each mod impacts performance. Visit the plaza in the wealthy part of Balmora and see what your base FPS is. Then add a mod and go there again. If a mod only adds to some specific cells, go there and see what it's like.
