High Rock Lore

Post » Thu Dec 16, 2010 5:07 pm

Hi folks.

I am co-leader of a High Rock mod. We are trying to track down specific geographical lore about the province. In researching this subject, I have sifted through everything I can find on TIL and the UESP. Sadly, everything there is a bit too general for our needs in this particular area. With this in mind, I have an image listing the areas that need some kind of regional name here: http://www.silgrad.com/wbb2/attachment.php?attachmentid=13995

If anyone can help from Lore-based sources, that would be great. If not, then creative, useful and authentic sounding names would also be welcome, since the Lore would appear to be pretty scarce on the subject.

Thanks in advance.

Well, if it cant found then it has to be made up, considered by the majority, agreed upon by the majority, then written for the majority to enjoy.
After all, its just fiction fantasy anyway. But good God do I love this stuff!!!

So...let your imagination flow and just start writing, and maybe you'll have followers that will adopt it as lore. Peace.

I'd look at Daggerfall. Alot of the game took place in the western region of High Rock in the Illiac Bay region. Although the land was randomly generated, the cities were sound, and I'm sure you'll be able to fill in the blanks with the bits of lore you find. Otherwise, use your imagination. That usually works well. ;)

If you're looking for any information on Orsinium, I would be glad to help you out, as I've been doing a lot of digging about their culture and city. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a link at this time, but try searching for Orsinium on the UESP or on Wikipedia.

Good luck, and happy hunting. :)

I don't know how far you are with your research, as already said, the page you linked to requires an account.
But here's the http://www.jceason.dircon.co.uk/dagger/dfgprov.htm, which describes the Iliac Bay provinces. Check out the links on that page, they briefly describe their respective provinces. Note, though, this is "Daggerfall information" and is outdated by the events of the Warp in the West. To consolidate this information with the most current news, I'd suggest cross-checking with the http://www.imperial-library.info/pge3/highrock.shtml.
I hope that helps a little! Good luck!
