[RELz] Oblivion XP

It's fantastic to see your mod coming on so well once more, SirFred. I can't believe you got through 5 more threads since I last kept track!

Seeing the progress you've made has made me want to play Oblivion once more, despite playing through myriad times before. Nicely done!

OBSE comes with instructions for Steam. :) It's in the Readme file.

I am new to this as well so here are a couple of my suggestions...

- Verify that OBSE is initializing when you load your game or start a new one. You should see a "OBSE version 17 initialized" message in the upper left hand corner. If not, make sure it is installed correctly.
- Verify that the INI file is in the correct location. Should be under data\oblivion xp\Oblivion XP Settings.ini

Good luck, oh and look. It is time for a new thread :)

I have just recently gotten a bug. Every time Ob XP initializes, it black screens and crashes. I reinstalled it and DarN, but to no effect. I did get around it by going into the character gen menu in the sewer on my new character, but i have to do that again to avoid the crash.

desertor, that worked!

It's interesting because the official instructions for the Steam version say you do NOT need to install the obse_loader.exe; there is instead an obse_loader.dll that you just need to have with some other .dlls.

So the official istructions should be updated and this obse_loader you linked to should be part of the official release

Glad to see you got it working vikitty :)

Anyhow, time for http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1047730.

p.s. I am still working on the next version, although rarely the last few weeks - I'm extremely busy at work and am moving to a new house which I'm fixing up currently, so it will be quite some time still until the next version I'm afraid. That said, I've made very good progress on moving the mod to c++ code and in fact experienced far less problems doing so than I expected. I should be able to put up an early alpha that basically just implements the v4 features quite soon - that way we can check if it works properly on other people's systems, too :)
