well it is certianly possible.
iirc, the zombie skeleton, and thus anims do not have all the bones the player/npc skele does. so to do this you need to import the zombie walk into blender/max, onto the npc skele, clean up if needed, and export a new anim and set it up from there. There are probably more ways to do this, that's just how I would attempt it.
